The 25th Ontario Ergometer Championships is in 3 weeks, and the winter season is in high speed... Please spread the word - It's time to start planning ahead!  This year's event is Saturday, March 3 at Ridley College, again in the new field house.  We have 30 brand new machines for racing, with this year's price at $1125.  Sales are going VERY fast, so get in touch immediately if you are interested in one!   (Contact is Jack Nicholson, 905-688-5292, or email me with a phone number.) 

 This year we are going with RegattaCentral for the entry system, but I am attaching an entry info form which still gives much of the basic information - for those who need a hard copy for parents & others.  There is also a map for directions.  Remember, for HS events, athletes MUST list their High School name (not club).  To register and get more information, go to:   https://www.regattacentral.com/regatta/index.jsp?job_id=2218&org_id=993

     Again, Val's will be our sponsor, and will provide the fantastic Top Ten T-shirts for all events.  We will have other vendors this year, with Val's, RegattaSport and JL confirmed already.  There is a food both on site (a bit more expensive than last year, as it's a more professional one with fryer, ovens and more).  Fees are $12. per entry (paid on time) and $25 late payment or late entry.  Deadline is Monday, Feb 27 - with the approximate schedule from 8:00 to 4:30.  (Exact draw will be posted a couple days before the event.)  Remember weigh-ins go from 7:30am to race time.

Al Morrow will be doing a presentation at the Ottawa Rowing Club at 2:00 pm Sunday January 29, 2012 in the auditorium at Lisgar Collegiate - 29 Lisgar Street in Ottawa.

There will be an umpire clinic at the London Rowing Club on February 25, 2011. 
Cost is $30.00 plus HST. Course runs approx. 8:45am-5:00pm. Upon completion of the course, candidates are considered Associate Umpires and can continue their training to become Umpires.
