The Ontario Adventure Rowing Association has announced its 2015 distance schedule which is chock full of scenic tours, marathons, coastal regattas, and international tours.
Tours start on the Welland recreational canal and move north to the Rideau Lakes, Conestoga Lake, Muskoka Lakes, Toronto harbour, the Grand River and Algonquin Park. A new tour this year is to see the petroglyphs on Bon Echo – also known as the Gibraltor of North America. Marathons occur on Lake Scugog in June, Ottawa River (Canadian Sculling Marathon) at the end of August, and either on the Otonabee River or Murray Canal (Icicle Chase) in October.

Coastal regattas happen on Lac St. Jean and Lake Ontario.  Finally OAR is sponsoring an international tour on the Spree River through Berlin to Potsdam in early October.

There’s a full season of endurance events to get in shape, see new sights, and have fun!
