Description
A sanctioned  3000m coastal racing event launched from Toronto’s nicest beach! The high depth of the lake and winds usually bring the deep long waves that are favoured by coastal rowers. The triangle course is laid out in front of the beach allowing the best public viewing experience, landmarks make the course navigation easy. All the equipment (with exception of singles) is made available to the rowers.

The event will follow the FISA and RCA coastal rules of racing.

Registration

To submit an entry, email your entry to Derek Ventnor at derek@rowontario.ca Entries must be submitted by Wednesday August 10.Please include:

Entry fees will be collected at the regatta site on August 13.

Events

– Men Single:              $30

– Women Single:        $30

– Men Double:            $40

– Women Double:       $40

– Mixed Double:         $40

– Mixed Quad:            $60
Schedule
The event will start at 8am and will finish by 4pm with a medal ceremony.

Location
The launch area is located at the south end of Woodbine Beach park. Access to ‘Green P’ parking is at Lakeshore east and Coxwell Avenue.

By Streetcar: 501 Neville Park to Queen & Kingston Rd, walk south to park.

By Subway/Bus: Coxwell Station board the 22A bus to Kingston Rd and Queen, walk south to park.

Accommodations

The nearest hotel: Days Inn Beaches is about 15 minutes walking distance from the beach.

Food & Drinks

A TimHorton’s and other sandwiches places are located ~5 minutes walking distance from the site.
Fresh water will be provided to all.
Washrooms and Change Rooms

Both are located within short walking distance of the regatta site.
