PLEASE NOTE: Following a review of the current NRC Eligibility requirements, we have decided to eliminate the 2K erg score requirement to compete at the 2017 NRC regatta. All other requirements for participation remain unchanged.

Information:

All information (technical package and regatta bulletins) for the 2017 NRCs/CCR are available online at RegattaCentral (https://www.regattacentral.com/regatta/?job_id=5197).

Please note: Registrations MUST be submitted to ROWONTARIO for approval.  Individuals CANNOT register independently for the NRCs or CCR.

ROWONTARIO will submit all entries on behalf of interested and eligible Ontario athletes.

Registration Procedure:

Athletes must submit their request for registration including payment online through ROWONTARIO (http://www.rowontario.ca/events/2017-national-rowing-championship-entry-request/) by September 20th, 2017. No late entries will be accepted.  Should your entry not be approved, ROWONTARIO will issue a refund.

Eligibility:

To compete at the National Rowing Championships, Ontario athletes must meet the following eligibility requirements by the entry deadline:

  • Be registered in the competitive rower category (in good standing) at an Ontario member club.

Canada Cup Selection:

Information will be made available regarding Canada Cup selections ASAP.  If you wish to be considered for selection, please indicate your interest on the registration form.  Athletes chosen to represented Ontario at the Canada Cup will be contacted by ROWONTARIO by November 11th, 2017.

Uniforms:

Athletes must we wear their ROWONTARIO uniform while racing at the regatta.  The 2017 ROWONTARIO uniform, supplied by Direct Sports Apparel (DSA), will be the same uniform provided for the 2015 & 2016 NRCs.  Therefore, you are not required to purchase a new uniform if you already have one.

Equipment:

Please note: All athletes competing at the NRCs must coordinate their own travel, accommodations, equipment, and equipment transportation. ROWONTARIO will not be sending a trailer or coordinating any equipment, travel, or accommodations for athletes.

Entry fees will not be refunded for athletes who fail to make their own arrangements, and athletes are responsible for any Scratch fees from the regatta.
