ROWONTARIO Club “Elite” Development Initiative

ROWONTARIO is supporting an initiative, led by interested Ontario clubs, to provide an opportunity for Senior athletes to compete at the 2010 US Elite National Championships, June 24-26. 

EVENT AIM: The aim of this event is to provide senior athletes and their coaches with a meaningful event to support their continued development.

Expression of Interest forms for both Athletes and Coaches are available on the ROWONTARIO website at www.rowontario.ca. Please complete this form and submit as per above.

Coaches will have a conference call on April 15^th at 8:00pm to judge interest, outline selection and assign possible training locations. 
 

Dial-in details will be emailed to coaches who have submitted an Expression of Interest by April 14^th.

Athletes will be contacted by the program coaches after April 14^th to outline the next steps.

SELECTION: Selection will be based on the information provided on the Expression of Interest form (ergometer scores and anthropometric profile) and other methods deemed appropriate by the Provincial Coach and the Coaching team.

ERGOMETER TARGETS: The following are the suggested 2k/6k target scores for interested athletes:

                                                                HW – 7:11/22:54

                                                                HM – 615/20:12

                                                                LW – 7:21/23:34

                                                                LM – 6:25/20:33

This initiative will be primarily athlete self-fund.  Some financial support may be made available by ROWONTARIO.
