Welcome to Club Elite!
The ROWONTARIO Club Elite Program was initiated in 2015 to provide club athletes and their coaches at the high performance level, the opportunity to train and learn with their peers from other clubs. Club Elite athletes are identified when they achieve a minimum standard on their 2k RADAR submission. One month prior to each Club Elite Camp, RADAR scores are evaluated and an updated Club Elite Athlete List is developed. An email is sent to the Head Coach of each club identifying athletes that have achieved Club Elite status. Athletes are not invited directly but the Club’s Head Coach is able to invite their coaches and identified athletes to participate in the upcoming Club Elite Camp. Mike Purcer, Director of High Performance and Coach Development, who coordinates the Club Elite Program, emails a Club Elite Camp Schedule to invited athletes and coaches and works with the host club to manage the camp.
Club Elite Overview
The goal of the Club Elite program is to provide high performance athletes and their coaches’ additional opportunities for training and racing and increase the level of rowing in Ontario. High performance athletes require top level equipment and coaching as well as a challenging regatta schedule and ROWONTARIO recommends additional training in small boats (singles and pairs).
To be identified as Club Elite, athletes must submit a 2k RADAR score to the Rowing Canada database at https://rca-athlete-tracker.sportingdna.com/users/login and achieve the Club Elite Standard (see table) for their class.

Athlete and Coach Camp Invitations
ROWONTARIO will provide a list of athletes that have achieved the Club Elite standard to head/lead coaches at the athlete’s club(s). The list will be sent out four weeks prior to the camp. Athletes will not be contacted directly and only coaches will be notified with an invitation for the identified Club Elite athlete(s) and their coach to attend the Camp. It is preferred that the coaches respond to ROWONTARIO and confirm athlete and coach attendance at the camps. Coaches are encouraged to attend and participate with their athletes.
Coaches attending the Camp should be NCCP Certified.
