Recently, ROWONTARIO has launched its first series of professional development webinars. This initial series consists of six webinars designed with the club coach in mind.

With the first three webinars completed, the inaugural delivery of web-based professional development has been a great addition to the current offerings in coach education. With positive reviews, our experts delivered informative and useful information on the topics of nutrition, injury prevention, and technology.

The last three webinars will be held over the next two weeks:
Wednesday, April 15 @ 7pm EDT: Talent Identification (offered in partnership with Rowing Canada Aviron)
Join RCA’s Peter Shakespear as he discusses his work in Talent Identification and describes how the club coach can help in finding our next high performance rowers.

Thursday, April 16 @ 7pm EDT: Creating and Implementing Training Plans for LTAD (offered in Partnership with Rowing Canada Aviron)
Join RCA Coach Phil Marshall as he considers how to use LTAD to find the best training plans for your athletes. This interactive webinar will have the participants working together to determine training plans at various stages.

Wednesday, April 22 @ 7pm EDT: Implementing Talent Development Principles
Join Amanda Schweinbenz, PhD, as she recounts her experience of implementing talent development principles with her rowers, from novice to advance. By opening the conversation of implementation opportunities at your local club, this webinar is sure to leave you with some tips and trips to engage your rowers.
