There are a few funding opportunities that clubs can utilize. There are also a number of grants that clubs can apply for through outside funding agencies. Clubs are encouraged to be in touch with ROWONTARIO for assistance.

Club Assistance Loan
Clubs can apply for a loan up to $20,000 to support capital based purchases to support club development (equipment, boats, motors, trucks, trailers, other tangible assets).

Total funding allocated to the club assistance loans is $60,000. Depending on the number of clubs accessing this funding program on a yearly basis, the amount available could vary.

Quest for Gold
The Quest for Gold Enhanced Coaching Program recognizes that coaches have out-of-pocket expenses for many things. The program provides an education bursary for coaches to complete eligible NCCP training. Coaches who wish to continue their training and education, or increase their knowledge and certification will benefit from this bursary program. This program is applicable for participants who take RCA Coach Weekend #1, RCA Coach Weekend #2, and Learn to Row Instructor workshops. Up to a maximum of $400 per application will be available to cover up to 70% of course registration fees and travel subsidy combined. A travel subsidy up to a maximum of $200 is available for coaches travelling more than 100km each way to attend NCCP training.
Applications must be submitted to the Coaches Association of Ontario within 60 days from course completion.
Proof of payment and completion notification from the Learning Facilitator must be submitted within 90 days from course completion.
Note that applications will not be accepted after March 31, 2014.
