The Row To Podium program will entrench a High Performance development system for the sport of rowing in Ontario to a ensure steady stream of High Performance athletes and coaches are being trained to the standards required to win Olympic and World medals in the sport of rowing.   A 
collaboration between Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA), ROWONTARIO (RO),CSC Ontario (CSCO), and Ontario University and Club rowing programs will form the basis of a sustainable and viable High Performance development system in Ontario.  

This plan encompasses a three tiered pathway to success at the Podium level:  (i) a regional development system that has the capacity to detect 
and train athletes coming into the sport comprised of 4 Talent Development Centres (TDC); (ii) a National Development Centre (NDC-O) that builds on the capacity of the TDCs to develop athletes identified as having  podium potential and finally ; (iii) a National High Performance Training Centre, the 
final step for those athletes who have the attributes and training background to be successful at the Podium level.
