On October 8-10, the best athletes from across the country arrived to the Henley course in St. Catharines Ontario to compete in singles and pairs at the 2015 Rowing Canada Aviron National Rowing Championships. Juniors, Under-23s, and Seniors were all able to race against one another in a highly competitive environment.

This year’s National Rowing Championships were especially exciting as both the Men’s and Women’s National Team competed in singles and pairs alongside our athletes. As the last NRC’s before the 2016 Rio Olympics, it was a fantastic opportunity for other athletes to see their National Team on the water competing at a very high level.

Due to the outstanding results of all Ontario athletes at this year’s RCA National Rowing Championships, Ontario won the Overall Points Award for 2015.

Many athletes that competed at NRC’s this year did so as part of their RADAR submission for Ontario Athlete Assistance Plan funding, both of which you can read about here.
