Row Ontario Provincial Teams
Row Ontario delivers Provincial Team programming in the U17 and U19 age groups. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for the top U17 and U19 athletes in the province to gain more high-level competition experience against top athletes from across Canada.
About the Row Ontario Provincial Team
The Row Ontario Provincial Team program provides selected athletes the opportunity to race at the National Rowing Championships (NRC) and Canada Cup Regattas in the fall of each year. Athletes compete in the NRC portion of the event as individuals in the 1X, and then compete together as Team Ontario in the Canada Cup portion as a 4X.
Team Selection
Athletes attempting selection for the Row Ontario U17 team must be 16 years of age or younger on December 31st, in the year of the respective team selection. Athletes attempting selection for the Row Ontario U19 team must be 18 years of age or younger on December 31st, in the year of the respective team selection. Athletes may be selected for the U17 and U19 Provincial teams at the Row Ontario Championship Regatta or through other selection methods.
