In 2017-2019 ROWONTARIO received a grant through the Ontario Sport and Recreation Communities Fund to implement the Remote Coaching Network for Developing Coaches and Club Lead Athletes.
The RCN was brought into effect after a need was identified for smaller and more remote clubs to gain access to qualified expert coaches. With the oversight of ROWONTARIO, experts in rowing coaching, technology & training, & regional coaches, helped mentor and share knowledge of rowing with RCN participants.
