High Water Levels and Changing Water Conditions

High Water Levels and Changing Water Conditions

Row Ontario plays an active part in a multi-organizational working group on the issues surrounding the impact of high water levels and changing water conditions throughout the province. We are joined on this group with provincial sport partners such as Ontario Sailing and Canoe Kayak Ontario.

Through the working group an important ‘Dealing with High Water and Changing Water Conditions’ seminar was hosted by Ontario Sailing at the National Yacht Club in Toronto on Feb. 15, 2020. The seminar was arranged to help educate both sailing and rowing clubs about the changing water levels and forecasting what is to come in the years ahead.

Row Ontario President Chris Waddell attended the seminar and took detailed notes throughout all the presentations. The full set of notes from the day can be found at the below link.
