Toronto, ON – Friday, August 25, 2017 – ROWONTARIO is excited to announce Chris Marshall as the new High-Performance Manager for ROWONTARIO.
For over 40 years, Chris has been involved in rowing as an athlete, coach, and administrator, including time on the National team as an athlete and a coach. Over the past 5 years, Chris has served as the President of Brockville Rowing Club.
“ROWONTARIO is in the midst of a major restructure of its High-Performance program as a result of many external factors. Chris’ experiences in both his professional life and rowing life make him the ideal candidate to lead the restructuring process for ROWONTARIO and its member clubs.”

Chris will take office in early September, with a focus to operationalize ROWONTARIO’s short term transitional plan for the high-performance department.
“As Manager of High-Performance, I look forward to working with the talented athletes and coaches that make up the ROWONTARIO family. Many of Canada’s finest rowers and coaches are products of the clubs, universities, and schools that make up Ontario rowing, and I am privileged to work on their behalf in this regard. I am excited for the challenge the position demands and I Iook forward to getting started in September.”
