Canada Summer Games

The 2021 Canada Summer Games (CSG) will be held in the Niagara Region and are scheduled to be held from August 6-21st. The 2021 CSG’s represent the 28th edition of Canada’s largest multi sport event. A total of twelve (12) different municipalities within the Niagara region will play host to over 5000 athletes for 15 days of competition, friendship and celebrations. The Province of Ontario, specifically ROWONTARIO want these games to be the best ever for Ontario athletes.

The rowing events will take place in St. Catharines on the historic home of the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, Martindale Pond. The CSG rowing competition is a U21 event and to be eligible athletes must be born in 2001 or later.

The CSG’s are a major sporting event in Canada and serve as a steppingstone for rowers and all athletes towards representing Canada in sporting events on the international stage. Ontario athletes at previous CSG’s have been a dominate force and rowers specifically have played a large role in Team Ontario’s overall success at the Games. In the 2017 CSG’s (Winnipeg) Team Ontario rowers captured the Canada Games flag for rowing and won 7 Gold Medals on the way to a total of 10 medals overall.
