L2 Umpire Clinic

The Level 2 Associate Umpire Clinic is delivered by a trained RCA Clinician, in coordination with the Row Ontario Umpires Committee. The Level 2 Clinic will broaden and deepen your understanding of the Rules of Racing and their application to the delivery of regattas. This will prepare you to begin working as an Associate Umpire at regattas. Upon completion of the clinic, you will be eligible to work as a Race Umpire on the water and Judge at the Start, under the guidance and mentorship of a licensed umpire.

Pre-requisites:
– Completion of Assistant Umpire Clinic (free and online through The Locker)
– Completion of Safe Sport Screening and Training, as required under RCA’s Safe Sport Policies
– Registration with Row Ontario as an umpire for the 2026/27 season is required to participate in the workshop. Participants may register for the workshop first but must complete their 2026/27 season registration prior to the workshop date. (Row Ontario will handle subsequent registration in the role of “Umpire” with RCA.)
