Meredith Smith

Meredith Smith joined the Row Ontario Board of Directors in November 2019. She has a well-versed background in rowing, bringing with her experience as a rowing parent, a volunteer with the London and Quinte Rowing Clubs, previous board member experience with the London Rowing Club and as secretary with the London Rowing Society.

Meredith has also been an RCA Umpire for 11 years and in 2019 completed training as a Chief Umpire. She can often can be found at regattas in South Western Ontario officiating with her husband Andrew (Smitty) Smith or officiating while he rows. Being involved in rowing has allowed making many lifelong friends who share her passion for and enjoyment of the sport, all of which began when she said yes to a date from a rower.

Meredith has been a Registered Nurse for 32 years and now works with the Assistance Services Group, a SYKES company, as part of the Senior Operations Team in their Telehealth Division. She is currently taking Health Informatics courses at McMaster University and is a proud mother of her two adult children Joshua and Rebecca.
