Call for Expressions of Interest – Row Ontario Board Committee Positions
Row Ontario (RO) is inviting members of the Ontario rowing community to submit expressions of interest for volunteer positions on the following Board Committees:
Finance Committee
We are seeking up to two (2) individuals to join the Finance Committee alongside the RO Treasurer. The ideal candidates shall have:
- Strong finance literacy
- Experience with financial oversight in a not-for-profit organization
Governance Committee
We are seeking up to two (2) individuals to join the Governance Committee. The ideal candidates shall have an
- Understanding of board governance principles, fiduciary duties, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with bylaws, policies, and regulatory frameworks for not-for-profits.
- Skills in risk assessment, prioritization, and evaluating the impact of decisions.
Nominations Committee
We are seeking three (3) individuals to join the Nominations Committee, along with a Board Member who will also sit on this committee. The ideal candidates shall have:
- Experience working on a policy board.
- Connected and can assist the recruitment process of potential new Board members.
- Experience with interviewing and other selection processes.
Note: All three members must be registered participants of a Member Club.
Additional Information
- Term Length: One year, ending on the date of the Row Ontario 2026 Annual General Meeting. There is no maximum number of terms a member may serve.
- Appointment: Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors.

- The committee(s) you wish to join
- A brief description of why you would like to serve
- Relevant background and experience that make you an ideal candidate
