2022 Canada Summer Games – Interest in Competing Form

Hello athletes!

The COVID-19 pandemic and frequent lockdowns have contributed to a difficult two years for everyone. We recognize that many people have had their training altered or been unable to train during the lockdowns given their personal circumstances. We have all been impacted by the virus.

However, the postponement of the 2021 Canada Summer Games to the summer of 2022 has given us all an interesting new opportunity. The Games will be held Aug. 6-21 in the Niagara region, with the rowing events scheduled to run from Aug. 15-19 at the Royal Canadian Henley venue. The age eligibility for rowing at the Canada Games remains 2001 and younger. This means that if you were age eligible to compete at the Games in 2021, you are age eligible in 2022.

It is important for Row Ontario to update our list of athletes interested in competing at the CSG. As such, we are asking that all athletes who wish to compete for Ontario at the Canada Summer Games in 2022 in Niagara to please fill out the form below by Monday, Sept. 20 to indicate your interest.

Row Ontario must update our Canada Summer Games contact list, so even if you have indicated your interest previously, please do so again. Row Ontario is looking to host Canada Summer Games camps this year, as per provincial and regional health unit requirements, and we want to make sure to invite the correct athletes.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Chris Marshall (chris@rowontario.ca ).
