Applications for September 2021 Intake at ONGPC Now Open
Row Ontario announced on Wednesday they are now taking applications for the September 2021 intake at the Ontario NextGen Performance Centre (ONGPC).
Athletes can apply to become either a centralized or regional members of the ONGPC through this application process. Development athletes aged 15-19 years (including Ontario provincial team, NextGen, and other development athletes) who have aspirations to row at the national team level are the target group for the ONGPC, but exceptions to those demographics can be made based on where athletes are in their development and their experience in rowing.

In May of 2020, Row Ontario announced plans to bring a provincial training centre to Ontario with the goal of providing a world class training environment for Ontario’s high performance rowers and a world class event hosting environment for all of Ontario’s rowers, coaches, umpires and volunteers. Welland was announced as the home of the ONGPC in July and in September the first group of athletes started training.
