Row Ontario 2021-2024 Strategic Planning

Row Ontario’s current strategic plan is set to expire at the end of this current fiscal year.  In preparation for our next plan, we will be launching a series of opportunities for the Ontario rowing community to provide input on our next plan.

The process will begin with an on-line survey that will be launched on September 5th and open to the entire Ontario rowing community to complete.  All data is anonymous and will be accessed by our strategic planning consultant Maryann Kerr, with the Medalist Group.  The Medalist Group was chosen as a result of a competitive and open RFP process earlier this year.  For more information about the Medalist Group, please feel free to access their website.

Row Ontario’s Membership Engagement Survey

The survey is the first in a series of data collection points that will be used to inform a half day strategic planning event on November 30, 2019 linked with our Annual General Meeting in Toronto.

The survey can be completed by the same individual more than once should that individual wear more than one hat with Row Ontario.  For instance, you might be both a coach and a Board member of a club and hold different points of view depending upon which hat you wear.  All data is anonymous and will be accessed by our strategic planning consultant Maryann Kerr, with the Medalist Group.  The Medalist Group was chosen as a result of a competitive and open RFP process earlier this year.  For more information about the Medalist Group, please feel free to access their website at www.themedalistgroup.ca

The Strategic Planning process is overseen by an ad-hoc committee of the Board.  Membership includes:  Chris Waddell – President; Margy Braga – Director; Andrew Backer – Executive Director and Lisa Roddie – COAST Manager.

In addition to the survey, the Medalist Group will conduct individual interviews and focus groups leading up to the November 30th event.  We appreciate everyone’s input and look forward to keeping you informed as we move forward.
