Call for Expressions of Interest – Hall of Fame Selection Panel
Row Ontario is seeking expressions of interest from the Ontario Rowing Community to fill up to two (2) positions on the Hall of Fame Selection Panel. The purpose of the Hall of Fame Selection Panel is to review Row Ontario Hall of Fame nominations and make recommendations for induction to the Row Ontario Board of Directors for ratification.
Qualifications – Individuals who have fair and balanced opinions with a strong understanding of the history of rowing in Ontario.
Term Lengths – The term length for all positions are for two years ending on March 31. The Chairperson and one Member at Large position to come due March 31st in odd years (e.g. 2023, 2025 etc.) and the other two Member at Large positions to come due in even years (e.g. 2022, 2024 etc.).
Appointment – The appointment of the Selection Panel Members will be completed by the CEO (or delegate) and the Chair of the Hall of Fame Selection Panel.
Application Process
Interested individuals are asked to submit a letter expressing of interest to volunteer for the Hall of Fame Selection Panel. The letter will need to include a brief description why you’d like to serve on the selection panel, including what background and experience you bring that would make you an ideal candidate for a position on the panel.
All expressions of interests are due Friday, June 3 end of business day via email to frank@rowontario.ca with “HOF Selection Panel Expression of Interest” in the subject line. All applications will be reviewed, and a decision on members of the panel will be communicated by June 30 at the latest.
