Call for Expressions of Interest – Row Ontario Awards Committee
Row Ontario is seeking expressions of interest from the Ontario Rowing Community for positions on the Row Ontario Awards Committee.
The purpose of the Awards Committee is to solicit and to select the awards winners, research and collect data, make recommendations for new or adapted awards and to record the history of award winners and rowing in Ontario. We are seeking to fill three [3] positions on the Awards Committee as per the Awards Committee Terms of Reference.
Qualifications – Individuals who have fair and balanced opinions with a strong understanding of rowing in Ontario.
Term Lengths – The term length for all positions is for two years ending on March 31.
Appointment – The appointment of the Awards Committee Members will be completed by the CEO (or delegate). The appointment of a Chairperson will be completed by the CEO (or delegate).
Application Process
Interested individuals are asked to submit a letter expressing of interest to volunteer for the Awards Committee. The letter will need to include a brief description why you’d like to serve on the Awards Committee, including what background and experience you bring that would make you an ideal candidate for a position on the panel. If you are interested in serving as the Chairperson for the Awards Committee, please include that in your expression of interest letter.
All expressions of interests are due Friday, Nov. 15 end of business day via email to frank@rowontario.ca with “Awards Committee Expression of Interest” in the subject line. Please note that members of the Awards Committee are not eligible for annual awards while serving on the Committee.
