Call for Nominations – Row Ontario Hall of Fame


As announced on April 15, in its 50th year as the provincial governing body for the sport of rowing in Ontario, Row Ontario is launching a Hall of Fame to recognize and honour the outstanding contributions and individual achievements in the sport of rowing in Ontario.

Row Ontario is now sending out the ‘Call for Nominations’ for the inaugural induction class of the Row Ontario Hall of Fame. Members of the Ontario rowing community are strongly encouraged to nominate worthy candidates for the first ever induction class in the Row Ontario Hall of Fame. Any member of the Ontario rowing community can submit a nomination form including Ontario member clubs and participants, a Row Ontario Board of Director/ Staff/ Committee representative and/or other rowing stakeholder. Self-nominations are not permitted.

In order to submit a nomination for a Hall of Fame Candidate, the below nomination form must be filled out in FULL for the candidate to be considered for the Row Ontario Hall of Fame:

The deadline to submit a nomination form is Friday, July 31st and should be submitted via email to Frank Christie at frank@rowontario.ca. Up to two letters of reference from members of the rowing community can also be submitted with the nomination form.

Prior to submitting a nomination form, please review the below Hall of Fame Selection Policy. A candidate’s worthiness for the Hall of Fame will be judged based off the criteria in the Selection Policy and the nomination form should speak to the criteria listed in the Selection Policy:

Nomination forms will only be eligible for consideration if: complete, received by the stated deadline, and are accurate and truthful.
