Registration Opens for RowOn Coaching Conference; Full Schedule Announced

The 2022 RowOn Coaching Conference returns to an in-person format for the first time since 2019 and will feature a wide variety of sessions led by an esteemed group of presenters from throughout the rowing world. In partnership with AMP Rowing, Row Ontario announced on Wednesday the full slate of sessions and opened registration for the Conference.

This year’s Conference takes place on Dec. 3-4 and will feature a keynote speech and lunchtime session for all participants, as well as a selection of lecture sessions and the choice to attend two fireside chat sessions. Each participant will be guaranteed five lecture sessions in addition to the keynote speech and lunchtime session and can register for the limited participation fireside chats for an additional cost. The two-day conference will take place in Welland and the sessions will be split between the Ontario NextGen Performance Centre and the Best Western Plus Rose City Suites. The bulk of the Conference will be run on Saturday, with the Fireside Chat sessions running on Sunday morning.

In October, Row Ontario announced Dr. Conny Draper will headline the Conference as the keynote speaker in a session titled Demystifying Biomechanics – How Applied Biomechanics Can Be Your ‘Objective Coaches Eye’. In addition to her keynote presentation, Draper will also present later in the day in a lecture session titled Demystifying Biomechanics – Practical Rowing-specific Applications for Your Daily Training Environment. Draper and Row Ontario Performance Director Phil Marshall will be the speakers for the Fireside Chat sessions on Sunday. Registrants for the Fireside Chats will be able to attend both sessions.

The full schedule of sessions can be found below. Session Descriptions and Presenter Bios can be found on the event page on our website.
