Row Ontario Accepting Applications for Provincial Training Centre Head Coach
Just last week Row Ontario made the exciting announcement regarding the opening of the Provincial Rowing Centre in the Fall of 2020. Row Ontario is now launching a nation-wide search for the Head Coach of the Provincial Training Centre.
The Provincial Training Centre Head Coach will be responsible for leading the activities of the PTC in a manner consistent with Row Ontario’s Vision, Mission and Values. The Head Coach will have the opportunity to contribute to creating an environment for success and performance and will play a role in the formation of the program from the ground up. This includes program design, athlete recruiting, assessment, monitoring initiatives, Yearly Training Programs, Individual Performance Plans, and training and racing opportunities. The Head Coach will lead the PTC and oversee any assistant coaches while working closely with the Manager, High Performance and other Row Ontario Staff to deliver a program of excellence.
The Provincial Training Centre will be one half of Row Ontario’s Provincial Rowing Centre and will share the location with all of Row Ontario’s proprietary regatta hosting initiatives. The Provincial Training Centre (PTC) and the greater Row Ontario Provincial Rowing Centre concept is endorsed by the Row Ontario Board of Directors and is supported by our sport delivery partners. The location of the Provincial Rowing Centre will be announced at the end of June following a comprehensive Request for Proposal process.
