SCAP Centre Named Physio and Sports Medicine Provider for Ontario NextGen Performance Centre
Row Ontario announced on Friday that they’ve reached an agreement with the Sports Chiropractic and Performance (SCAP) Centre to become the preferred physio and sports medicine provider for the Ontario NextGen Performance Centre.
With two locations in Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake, the SCAP Centre is one of the regions finest sports medicine facilities. Dr. Mark Scappaticci leads a team of ten doctors and support staff dedicated to the health and well-being of their patients and will provide the centralized training group at the Ontario NextGen Performance Centre with care for all of their physio, sports medicine, and injury rehabilitation needs.
The SCAP Centre specializes in the ‘Functional Integrated Therapy’ (FIT) Model, an innovative and highly successful treatment system used to assess and manage soft tissue injuries and optimize athletic performance. The cornerstone of F.I.T. is its multi-faceted approach used to address dysfunctions in soft tissue, biomechanics and the neural information system to speed up recovery from injuries and restore proper function. The SCAP Centre clientele includes the highest-level of professional athletes, such as members of the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, as well as Olympic athletes, in addition to providing treatment for the average person’s day-to-day aches and pains.
Located in Welland, Ont., the Ontario NextGen Performance Centre opened in September and features programming developed by a panel of leading advisors targeted at developing the next generation of high performance Ontario rowers. The Centre nurtures Ontario’s brightest young athletes’ abilities and puts them on a path to achieve their high performance rowing goals. Athletes training at the Centre receive all the tools they need to be successful both on and off the water.
