Ontario Rowing Summit Location Confirmed
In just over four months’ time, the Ontario Rowing Summit will be hosted in Jordan Station, ON.
Row Ontario announced plans for the Summit, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 28, in March. With the goal of bringing community members and key partners from across the province together, this pivotal event will see the Ontario rowing community engage in meaningful discussions about the current state of rowing in Ontario and collaborate on strategies to strengthen and advance the sport for years to come.
The Summit will be hosted at the Jordan Hotel in Jordan Station. All Ontario rowing community members, including athletes, parents, coaches, club administrators, club leaders, umpires, regatta organizers, and others involved with the sport are invited to attend the Summit. Among the goals of the Summit are to publish a State of Rowing in Ontario Report following the event, create a partner validated vision framework for the future of the sport, and achieve enhanced alignment on key issues affecting athletes, coaches, umpires, clubs and competitions.
Included in the weekend festivities will be the Row Ontario Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which will include the HOF Classes of 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The Row Ontario Hall of Fame was introduced in 2020, during Row Ontario’s 50th anniversary year. This will be the second in-person induction ceremony, following the first in April of 2023 which honoured the first three induction classes. The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Saturday evening following the Summit.
